Casey OâConnell
First Appearance: A karaoke bar during Aubrey's first weekend in Thailand (2017).
Signature Move: Writing heartfelt handwritten notes for every occasion.
Most Likely To: Write a book about her ex.

Casey and Aubrey have globe-trotted through 11 countries together, but Sri Lanka takes the cake for chaotic memories. Picture this: you go for a relaxing massage, only to find yourself locked inside a wooden coffin for a "sauna" experience. And the prize for surviving the weirdest spa day of your life? Aubrey's absolute worst travel nightmare, a sweltering, ridiculously crowded, stinky 7-hour train ride from Ella to Kandy.
Kailee Pomerene
First Appearance: Oktoberfest in Bangkok during Aubrey's second year in Thailand (2018).
Signature Move: Inventing unforgettable phrases like "Toot My Flute" and pronouncing Bangkok as "Bannnn-kok."
Most Likely To: Mention the weather before saying hello.
Wedding Day Objective: Prevent the bride from checking the weather forecast.
Fun Fact
From standing as Kaileeâs Maid of Honor to globe-trotting across nine countries, Aubrey and Kailee have some wild stories. The absolute best one? Downing an entire bottle of wine each before cliff-jumping 30 feet into the Adriatic Sea alongside Casey. Despite living in different places, Casey, Kailee, and Aubrey have talked on Marco Polo nearly every day for years.
Kaitlyn Lahman
First Appearance: The womb.
Signature Move: Having plans for next weekend, next month, and next year.
Most Likely To: Know every lyric to every song played at the wedding.
Wedding Day Objective: Successfully deploy the Ring Bearer down the aisle.
Fun Fact
Kaitlyn is Aubrey's triplet sister. She made Aubrey an aunt to Warren and has another little one on the way. They played softball together for many years growing up. Kaitlyn was the athletic triplet using her height and left-handed skills to actually win games as a pitcher and first baseman. Aubrey was the entertaining and carefree triplet, which is just a nice way of saying she was too busy singing and dancing in the outfield to notice the ball coming her way.
Brenna Valzania
First Appearance: Julia insisted Aubrey had to meet the red-haired, blue-eyed girl she'd been raving about on Semester at Sea (2015). When they finally met on the upper deck, Brenna mentioned she was staying at the Hyatt in Kyoto thanks to a girl whose dad had an "in with Hyatt," not realizing that girl was Aubrey.
Signature Move: Trusting a paper map more than Google Maps.
Most Likely To: Politely remind everyone of the schedule.
Wedding Day Objective: Make sure the bride is wearing sunscreen.
Fun Fact
With 18 countries under their belts, Brenna officially holds the title for the most countries traveled with Aubrey. They've truly been through it all together, including getting completely ambushed by a very persistent henna artist in Morocco and inexplicably paying for tattoos neither of them asked for. Back at home, Brenna doubles as Aubreyâs personal career and financial guru, most recently coaching her through the Capital One interview process.
Maddie Clavel
First Appearance: At Aubreyâs first Friendsgiving party with other Americans while abroad in Thailand (2017).
Signature Move: Remembering every funny story ever told.
Most Likely To: Create a viral moment by accident.
Wedding Day Objective: Document every funny moment the bride will inevitably forget.
Fun Fact
Aubrey once visited Maddie in Guatemala, where they roasted s'mores on top of a volcano. While on a girlsâ trip in Florabama for 4th of July, Aubrey, Casey, Kailee, and Rachael all got COVID, but Maddie somehow convinced everyone they were just hungover and mysteriously never caught it herself.
Emma Feiten
First Appearance: Aubrey and Emmaâs moms introduced them at college orientation (2012).
Signature Move: Space buns and planning all the group events and reunions.
Most Likely To: Trip over the brideâs dress repeatedly, yet somehow accidentally.
Wedding Day Objective: Start the shimmy on the dance floor.
Fun Fact
Aubrey and Emma became Alpha Phi sisters after meeting at orientation and walked to chapter meetings together every Monday night of freshman year. They quickly bonded over their shared love of Justin Bieber and Disney songs. During one sorority formal, Emma witnessed Aubrey fall into a fire pit and emerge covered in black soot, then spent the rest of the night helping clean her up in the bathroom.
Julia Geraldo
First Appearance: Cabin 3130 aboard the MV Explorer on Semester at Sea (2015). Aubrey distinctly remembers Julia being thrilled to meet her and relieved she had gotten a âcoolâ roommate.
Signature Move: Deep late-night conversations while the ship rocked them to sleep.
Most Likely To: Play matchmaker like it's a full-time job.
Wedding Day Objective: Deliver pep talks on demand.
Fun Fact
Getting kicked out of the Marina Bay Sands rooftop club in Singapore? Just another classic Julia and Aubrey moment. When Julia forgot her ID, Aubreyâs valiant, but totally unsuccessful, attempt to use her own as a decoy got them both the boot. Sixteen countries later, the hilarious memories just keep coming.
Mallory Tower
First Appearance: Alpha Phi Rush Recruitment (2013). Aubrey rushed Mallory and instantly loved her. She was thrilled when Mallory chose Alpha Phi, and even more thrilled when she later became her little sister.
Signature Move: Showing up in the cutest outfit in the room.
Most Likely To: Laugh at exactly the wrong moment.
Wedding Day Objective: Leave with a groomsman đ.
Fun Fact
Even though their sorority days are long behind them, Aubrey still calls Mallory âlittleâ to this day. Their unofficial college anthem was "Timber," and whenever it came on, they were obligated to find the nearest elevated surface and sing and dance together.
Brooke Hall
First Appearance: Alpha Phi Sorority (2012).
Signature Move: Making teaching and motherhood look easy.
Most Likely To: Quietly switch to sparkling water and never mention it.
Wedding Day Objective: Keep the bride hydrated.
Fun Fact
They both experienced their first college spring break trip together in South Padre, Texas, where someone misread Aubrey's ID and thought she was already 21. Aubrey ended up being the designated drink runner for the entire group all weekend.
Jess Gates
First Appearance: Aubrey's first day at Satit Kaset School in Thailand (2017).
Signature Move: Teaching Aubrey Thai.
Most Likely To: Show up with a completely different hairstyle than expected.
Wedding Day Objective: Capture candid photos of the bride and groom.
Fun Fact
Jess and Aubrey rode to and from school together almost every day, dodging Bangkok traffic side-saddle in their skirts on motorbike taxis. Beyond their daily commutes, they've shared plenty of wild adventures, including an unforgettable Krabi girls' trip featuring stolen phones, severe illness, and Aubrey getting literally dropped on her head on concrete.
Mckenzie Thomas
First Appearance: Alpha Phi and audition choir at UNC (2013).
Signature Move: Telling legendary stories that somehow improve with every retelling.
Most Likely To: Grab the microphone and start singing.
Wedding Day Objective: Put your elite internet sleuthing skills to work by running comprehensive background checks on all plus-ones before the reception.
Fun Fact
Aubrey gave her the nickname âMcKenz,â a name only she uses. They once performed an original rap together for Sigma Chi Derby Days, a memory they now look back on as more embarrassing than anything else. McKenz is also the only person Aubrey knows who rivals her love of FaceTiming her mom just to check in.
Audrey Spalding
First Appearance: The girl with the coolest hairstyles and best mascara during sorority recruitment (2012). Aubrey immediately knew she wanted to be friends with her.
Signature Move: Crying at literally everything.
Most Likely To: Pack 20 bathing suits.
Wedding Day Objective: Make sure the bride always has a drink in hand.
Fun Fact
Aubrey and Audrey became Alpha Phi sisters and loved introducing themselves together at college parties because nobody could ever keep their names straight. As Elementary Education majors who both studied abroad, they spent most of college side by side in class. During senior year Derby Days, they skipped class to search for the Golden Derby, scoured campus for hours, and were the ones who finally found it hidden in the bushes outside the University Center.
Rachael Bennett
First Appearance: Oktoberfest in Bangkok during Aubrey's second year in Thailand (2018).
Signature Move: Wearing dark lipstick better than anyone else.
Most Likely To: Be the group's ultimate wildcard.
Wedding Day Objective: Carry the emergency supplies.
Fun Fact
Aubrey and Rachael attended the Eras Tour together in Switzerland along with the Bangkok crew, where Rachael valiantly tried to brave a 5+ hour concert in stilettos until they finally convinced her otherwise. Theyâve rung in plenty of New Yearâs together, but the crown jewel remains New Orleans, where Rachael confidently popped a bottle of champagne and delivered a sultry, seductive, "Hello, 2019..." completely forgetting it was now 2020.
Chandra Brunett
First Appearance: Chandra became Audrey's sorority little during sophomore year (2013), effectively joining the crew.
Signature Move: Pouring a glass of wine or making a margarita before 5 oâclock.
Most Likely To: Become the unofficial content creator of the weekend.
Wedding Day Objective: Curate the getting-ready playlist.
Fun Fact
Chandra (or Chandy Tay Tay) is a dancer and taught Aubrey all the trendy TikTok dances during COVID. Back in the day, they made the ultimate wingwomen team because their types in men couldn't be more oppositeâright up until a very specific detour in Mexico that remains strictly confidential ;)
Samie Wilmer
First Appearance: Samie was originally friends with Aubrey's sister Kaitlyn before she and Aubrey became best friends during their senior year of high school (2010).
Signature Move: Asking for "just one more picture."
Most Likely To: Turn any conversation into a conversation about her dog.
Wedding Day Objective: Find a plus one and donât visit your ex đ.
Fun Fact
As Aubreyâs longest-standing partner in crime, Samie has been there for everything: high school, a car crash, boujee dinners, and too much shopping. One of their wildest moments was in Belize, where lost luggage forced them to swim in the ocean clutching their phones and passports from a beach thief. They knew they dodged a massive bullet when they later watched another tourist physically fighting that exact same guy over a stolen phone, and were thrilled to sit that one out.
Natalie Salazar
First Appearance: Porn Uthai, Thailand (2017).
Signature Move: Killing it on the karaoke floor.
Most Likely To: Cook an unforgettable meal!
Wedding Day Objective: Find a ukulele and play something!
Fun Fact
Natalie and Aubrey lived in the same building for all three years, sharing countless cozy nights, amazing home-cooked meals (including Natâs famous Colombian Ajiaco), and more karaoke nights than they can count at their favorite Bangkok dive bar, Woodball. After living seven years in Bangkok, Nat and Jess became Aubreyâs lifelines in a foreign country.
